Zenner successfully participated in Enlit 2024, with a focus on digital solutions for a future with sustainable energy
Published:30. Oct 2024ZENNER is proud to look back on a successful Enlit 2024 in Milan. With a broad portfolio of innovative measurement systems and IoT solutions covering all aspects of sustainable energy management, ZENNER attracted numerous visitors to their stand. The response was huge, and the interest trade visitors showed in the firm’s technology confirmed just how relevant the solutions ZENNER is developing are for a climate-neutral future.
“We can look back on a very successful trade fair here in Milan,” explains Boris Stöckermann, Head of Business Development, Digital Solutions & eCommerce at the Minol-Zenner Group.
“Enlit was a great experience for us, our customers and our partners – especially thanks to the close cooperation between the individual companies and departments. All in all, we were able to show our expertise and bring our broad portfolio of measuring technology and IoT solutions to life for visitors, and had a whole host of excellent discussions with top decision-makers and partners from the municipal utilities sector.” Our focus at the trade fair was digital measuring technology for precise consumption measuring and secure, efficient data transmission. Digitalisation and the associated systems – from meters to remote monitoring platforms – were presented in their entirety.
“Our display cases with the wide range of gas and water meters as well as technology for smart infrastructure were real crowd pullers. The topic of remote readouts via the Internet of Things (IoT) and the operation of Europe’s largest LoRaWAN network, in particular, were met with great interest,” reports Fréderic Reiser, Sales Director Europe & Africa at ZENNER. Reiser adds: “Especially the issue of water losses on the grid is a high priority for our customers in times of climate change. Precise measuring technology, such as our new ultrasonic meter IUWS, in combination with radio technology and digital solutions such as ‘Metering as a Service’ are in demand nowadays.”
Visitors were impressed by the performance and flexibility of what is currently the largest LoRaWAN network in Europe, which ZENNER has built and expanded in recent years. It enables cities and utilities to provide scalable, cost-effective data transmission for measuring technology and sensors for smart metering, smart buildings or smart cities.
Another highlight at Enlit 2024 was the launch of the new “ZENNER IoT Gateway outdoor 16”. The LoRaWAN Gateway enables reliable, energy-saving transmission of measurement data and particularly impressed trade fair visitors with how compatible and easy to integrate it is with existing IoT networks. “The Gateway opens up a wide range of applications, from smart cities to Industry 4.0, underscoring our position as a leading provider of IoT solutions and infrastructures,” explains Boris Stöckermann.
Cybersecurity was also a big theme at the ZENNER stand. Asvin GmbH, as a partner of the Zenner Group in the field of cybersecurity, presented the Device Security BoosterTM, a solution for securely managing and protecting IoT equipment. In times of strict regulations, a secure data infrastructure is indispensable, and the security solutions presented were met with widespread interest from trade visitors.
“At Enlit, I learned a lot about current smart metering solutions and the challenges in the field of digital municipal utilities, and I also made very good contacts in the industry”, explains Angelika Lattner, Sales Executive at Asvin GmbH. “For us, sustainability, digital transformation and collaborative solutions for a future with clean energy, as well as the integration of renewable energies, are currently the most important topics in the industry.”
Renata Gregori, Managing Director at Brunata Zenner Srl., has put our time at the trade fair in a nutshell: “Enlit 2024 once again showed us the importance of playing our role as partners and consultants in a rapidly changing industry. Our integrated solutions and consulting services fulfil customers’ needs for reliable, legally compliant and sustainable systems.”
With a comprehensive portfolio and pioneering developments in the fields of measuring technology and IoT solutions, ZENNER was able to benefit from Enlit 2024 to further strengthen their position as a reliable partner for sustainable energy and water management, and provided an all-important impetus for the energy transition to boot.
